Wish Fulfilling Tree

George Lenaudius met Kelsang Pawo in the street. The two men chatted and eventually George who know as Dorje mentioned that he had written much music.

Pawo took the opportunity to ask Dorje to write the music for there Jazz number titled It's A Dirty Business.

It was soon afterwards that Dorje suggested he have an attempt at writing the music for our Anthem Wish Fulfilling Tree.

Pawo was delighted as he had been carrying the lyrics with him for some time waiting for the right person to make this offer of generosity.

Dorje took the only set of lyrics Pawo had and soon afterwards reported back that he heard the melody for the Anthem in a dream.

Shortly afterwards Wish Fulfilling Tree was born and the story began.

Wish Fulfilling Tree is potential, in financial terms, worth millions of pounds through world wide sales, so it is important to note that Dorje and Pawo lay claim to non of this money. Both state that it is their wish for the Anthem to be worth more than money. If it raised a trillion pounds and the money well spent then the point of Wish Fulfilling Tree would have still been missed if more money is needed.

Dorje and Pawo wish for the Anthem to be an antidote that holds the power for us to think, act and speak well and with wisdom before our children. Why would we need money when Wish Fulfilling Tree carries the message of preventitive medicine?

We seek the day when people will wonder why such a musical piece would have to be written. When children are safe and Wish Fulfilling Tree will become obsolete.

Enjoy Dorje's version. It is the original and very first take. We saw no need to play with it or to make it technically perfect. The heartfelt -ness is clear to be heard.

The first picture above shows Dorje laying down the track for Wish Fulfilling Tree, having deciding to write the music himself. The second picture shows John Wilks who has prepared Dorje's work for a full orchestra and choir.

These two fine men are dedicated musicians. They both work diligently for the children of the world at no fee hoping their efforts will be of some use to tormented children. They are certainly fine men.
