Written and performed by Dom Liu and Joey Reed

Pawo is delighted to know Dom and Joey. They met in Newquay Cornwall, when these two fine examples of our youth were entertaining holiday makers by busking in the street. Both lads are sixteen years of age and come from Bath, they are full of confidence, hope and enthusiasm for the future. They believe in the power of kindness and that unselfish acts will certainly help others from a difficult life.

Following a chat with Pawo, the boy's immediately set about writing We Watch The Same Stars, so they could contribute toward the efforts made by the Gesar Foundation for children.

Pawo can not find the words to adequately describe his feeling of happiness at having met such fine young people. He calls them, a delight to all living beings, that the world is better for their birth and books need be written to tell of the fine qualities displayed so very often by our youth. It is true some youngsters are lost and even belong to daft gangs but these are few and somewhere above their silliness there lays a seed of kindness. It is only for now that they remain in the realm of a fool.

Thank you Dom and Joey. We wish you every happiness and success in your careers and will help and assist you both in whatever way we are able.

Below are two pictures. The first of Dom Lui and the second of Joey Reed. If you see them out and about then congratulate them for all of us on a fine job done.

A message from Dom and Joey
The song We Watch The Same Stars is intended as a message to young people who have the luxury of being born into wealthier countries, where comforts and freedom are more common place. Disadvantaged children live in difficult circumstances where opportunities are few and far between, but still they are people with a wish to be happy, just like you and me.

We Watch The Same Stars has a serious meaning but the song itself is happy and cheerful, just as we are and our friends. It is a song of hope for the dreams of children, for those in poverty to not stay there, for their dreams of freedom to come true and for compassion to reach them, just as the Gesar Foundation intend.

Dom, Joey and their friends are true Ambassadors of kindness. They intend to add positively to the efforts of the Gesar Foundation in the future. To hear more from the lads, visit www.myspace.com/pinataparty.

We Watch The Same Stars

Original lyrics written and performed by Dom Lui and Joey Reed

Please tell me that you see what I see
Do you hear, I can hear a silent plea
In a world where greed and poverty
Ignore each other so stubbornly

Is it so different
I hear they too carry guns
They too feel the hurt when they lose their loved ones
And I hear the sunset down there is the same stunning light
And I bet they fall in love
And watch the stars together at night

Why can't they dream the same dreams
They're the same age
I bet they dream of playing football on a floodlit stage
I bet their romance is as sweet as ours
They talk forever
And sleep underneath the stars

Are we so different
We breathe the same air
We dream our dreams
And dread our nightmares

And he could be your brother
Or your best friend
So dig deep, think hard
There's always change to lend

Please tell me that you see what I see
Do you hear them screaming
Did you see him bleed
It's the same blood as ours
That runs from our veins to our heart
Cos we're all brothers just continents apart...
