The story
When Kelsang Pawo and George Lenoudias completed the writing of the world Anthem for children, it was suggested that it would adapt nicely to a hymn for the Chriistian church. The two men immediately agreed to this as Wish Fulfilling Tree was composed for all the world's children without one single exception.
John Wilks, who had already written other scores, to suit all musical taste and genre's, set about writing the organ score for church's and Cathedral's. The words were adapted by John and George and the vocals added to this first version by John's son Lyndon Bernson Wilks and his friend Alexander Hutton, who are both choir boy's at their local church in Dorset, England.
The picture below. Shows. Lyndon, with Pawo and Lyndons father, John Wilks in the background.
We look forward to receiving many more church choir recordings of the children's Anthem and to hear it resound on countless occassions from every place of worship throughout the world.
May all children know happiness, be successful in their endeavours and prosper in a world where they are safe.
