Holsworthy..one in a million

Hello to all our friends. This month has seen an outstanding effort by all, to establish the Gesar Foundation Quality Of Life Sanctuary in Holsworthy Devon England.

                                     

It is difficult to find the adequate words to thank the individuals behind the below organisations, who have come together worked so hard to establishing the Gesar Foundation Quality of life Sanctuary for animals and children.

Pawo will carry  this sign with him as he travels. Jag Signs have also donated the four metre gate sign to be erected at our gate. Let it be known we are in need of both Timber and builders waste. All local demolition business will be asked to donate their unwanted materials. This will reduce  the sum required considerably.

                        

                                       

Human beings share a common responsibility to use our birth so others may benefit and certainly not suffer as a consequence. This spiritual realisation can bring with it a sense of burden but also a great sense of inspiration and joy.

While travelling extensively I have gathered many friends. Several have become truly active for the well being of others and their are those who still seek direction. It is time now to start spending more time in one place and inviting those who wish to visit, meet others and gain their direction from the inspiration of fine company...

This month at the Gesar Foundation Quality of life Sactuary we have seen our Gesar Karate Holsworthy Club take root under the superb guidance of Sensai Will Dentlinger. Also we have seen the emergence of the children's Four seasons nature club.

The sanctuary that for several years has given a home to rescued animals, is now open for the benefit of children.

Below we see a picture a picture of Pawo with Sensei Will Dentlinger. Will has successfully overseen the Holsworthy Karate Club for two years and we are now delighted to see him move his headquarters to the Gesar Quality of life Sanctuary.

                      

It is the Gesar Foundation principle to serve all children across the globe with equanimity and without exception. This means to have no preference towards one group of children over another. We wish to give children, whatever their background, an equal and balanced opportunity to be happy, to succeed and to prosper.

When Gesar showed an interest in the animal sanctuary set in the beautiful Devon countryside, in Holsworthy England. It was with a view to establish a centre that would serve as a living example of how children, particularly those distressed or traumatised, would benefit from being with animals that had been through similar circumstances.

The Holsworthy sanctuary is to be developed as a Gesar Foundation flag ship. A fine example, that will serve both animals and children. It is to support other sanctuary's and encourage other projects of it's type across the world. 

It is not the Gesar principle to think only of the animals in our care. We must always think of what equanimity means and serve all living beings equally.

                                             

How will our goal be achieved? 

To achieve this goal, Pawo has called together a team of individuals, all accomplished in their field of expertise. He has requested that they together put the Gesar Foundation proposal into action.

The team are.

Nick Grove, founder and managing director of Sqn Solutions, a web design and development company with an international client base. Nick Grove also built and maintains the Gesar Foundation web site as a gift to Gesar.  Nick Dear, formerly of the BBC and now director of Nick Dear PR Managerment, Sophie Blake, formerly of Sky Television and last but not least we welcome Roxy Piper founder of the Devon Based Tribal Roots sustainable living. organisation.

Nick Grove, is at present building in his mind, a web site that will be both inevative in the use of the latest technology and completely user friendly for us who are new to computers. The web site will house the on line Gesar, friends to Children and Animals magazine. It is the job of Nick Dear,  to generate the international interest.

This magazine will need subscibers. It is the subcriptions that will feed the animals and maintain the premises, paying it's bills. Also the funds accumalated annually will be distributed world wide by trustees to struggling sanctuary's in need of support or development.

Sophie, who has already done so much to get this project moving, will continue to do what she can to introduce celebrities and friends to the magazine, so we always have a flow of interesting articles from a flow of known characters from across the world who have an animal story to tell. 

In the meantime, Pawo has pledged to raise £999,999 to ensure that all the animals resident and received in future are safe from any threat of closure. He will achieve this sum as he travels the country far and wide this summer

We have much work to do before this beautiful and most poetic project is off the ground.  Lets concentrate with great diligence and picture our total and undiluted success.

Our children's village will eventually be made up of replica dwellings from around the world, including Ethiopian mud huts, Teepee's, Canadian log cabins and even a tree house build on the lines of the famous film home of the Swiss Family Robinson, and we must not forget the Amazonian long house to be built on stilts by the lakeside.

Adventures of this nature do take time and we must be patient with all who have an interest in achieving the finest outcome. Children will cherish the freedom of open space and want to come along every weekend. They will hold with them wonderful memories and bring their children too. How wonderful it will be for all our friends, young or older, four legged or two, beaked or with a nose, furry or otherwise. There will be a sense of belonging for everybody.

Above is Joan Diamond celebrating the animals happiness by waving the Gesar Flag. Though Joan works very hard for our children she also has many pets at home. When you meet her, she will tell some very funny stories about dogs and parrots, ferrets, two cats and other very funny things

Below. Is Geoff Pitt, who owns an adjoining wood to our property. He is in deep discussion withour John who has a passion for wood and woodlands. The two men were inseperable and could have talked for days. It appears we will have all the necessary timber within our own woodland to complete our project and thanks to these fine men, we have all the detail.

It is heartwarming to hear from friends from all over the world, who are so kind and wish to help us with the children and animal development. no doubt our special space in Devon will be a great meeting place for us all and over the years, many animals and children will benefit.

Below we see a picture of Pawo and local children from North Devon. All are planting vegetables. One of the essential activities at the sanctuary. All children receive the opportunity to plant, cultivate and reap the benefits of Vegetables.

                  

Below.Friends in the barn. All our friends brought their children to the sanctuary for the day. It is wonderful to see the youngsters familarising themseves with the poultry, remembering their names and making friends with each other. These children have some very special memories to recall later in life.

                  

Below. All our friends and the children walking towards the the lower barn following our nature walk, where the children were shown pond wild life. Experts in this field will soon make themselves available for regular nature education events.

Below we see a sample of the pond life for the youngsters to study. We have one pond and one lake on the premises and both are undisturbed by humans. They are fine examples of English nature and of great interest to those who specialise in the subject of pond life. 

                  

                                     

Below we see a picture of Pawo pushing little Freyja on a wood cart. Bless her hreat, she loved her experience. Freyja is the young daughter of Roxy Piper, founder of Tribal Roots.

                             

Below we see a picture of Roxy Piper with Alf as they remove the sheets to prepare the ground for vegetables. Members of the Gesar nature club for children who have their headquarters at Holsworthy will be the ones who tend these these vegetable patches.

                      

Below we have fun pretending to be tree's. The picture was taken in the orchard field. Tree's are already donated by the Gesar Foundation, Jaden Cornelious Foundation and Tribal roots. All are fruit tree's. There are several other tree's to come from existing sponsors and new sponsor's and friends alike. The orchard consist of apple, pear, kiwi, sweet chestnut, fig, bay and damson tree's. Also in the orchard there is to be planted The Wish Fulfilling Tree for the children to hang their dreams on.

                     

Below we see the team hard digging but full of laughter as between us we dig the organic vegetable garden. The garden is designed on the principles of permaculture and will incorporat raised beds, a double herb spiral with ponds along with companion planting.

Below we see a fully satisfied Nathan as he admires his own work. Come and join us for a good day out. Organise an event here and enjy the spirit of this project. Holsworthy is a wonderful place to be....

                     

                                    

We should give a special thank you also to our Dorje this month..He has been working with Iain Findlayson of the Skye bagpipe band, who are to record our Anthem for children Wish Fulfilling Tree.

Also we must say a big thank you to Terje Pederson, our Norwegian friend and to dear Matt Norman for their versions of the Anthem. We look forward to receiving a new version from Will and Heather, who have recorded in the USA

The Anthem Wish Fulfilling Tree is an enormous part of the work at Gesar. We wish it to be recorded across the globe so we are able to discuss the matter of children and their prosperity in every quarter. Wish Fulfilling Tree is our banner. It is our statement. The mount, if you like, that we ride upon.

We have many version accumalating now and we invite more. It is important to remember that no other can do our bit for us. It is for us to do our bit when presented with the opportunity. Over two thousand muusicians have told me that they will record and I believe them. One day when the moment is there, they will do it. May that moment arrive very soon hahahahaha!
