Gesar Karate
Saturday June 26th 2010
Pictured below we see Kelsang Pawo with the sensei of the Gesar Foundation Holsworthy Karate Club Will Dentlinger. This was a special day for Will and the young club members. It was their first day at the Gesar Foundation Quality Of Life Centre in Devon England. The club have made the Gesar centre their new home.
Pictured below we see Pawo presenting the Gesar Karate Club with their very special Bell. The bell was made especially for the club by Nathan Evens and is a replica of an authentic Japanese dojo bell. Nathen is a long time resident at the Quality Of Life Centre and a highly valued, skilled member of the operating team. We all wonder how we would manage without him.
Below we see George, one of the rescued cats living a quality life at the sanctuary. We can see how happy he is in his retirement as he relaxes with the students during a talk from their sensei.
Below we see the students preparing to take part in their gradings...All students on the day attained a new grading. It was a perfect day had by all...Even George hahaha!
For now the Karate club are very happy to train in the open air, using the barn should the weather be particularly bad. Work will begin on their dojo as soon as we have the materials to start.
