Gesar in Romania

Jacky Stone and her husband Paul have been friends and ambassadors to the Gesar Foundation since 2007. It was always their intention to develop a department of their own within Gesar. This asperation materialised when they joined hands with Corina Cattemull.

Below is a picture of Dominika Baran, who along with Paty Krus, serves so many children, from Nepal, to Poland and in England. Dominika sends her best wishes and congratulations Jack, Corina and Paul...

Corina Cattemulls parents live in Romania so it was an obvious choice for Paul, Jacky and Corina to support the Gesar Foundation in helping children there. The team were made aware of the particular hardship that Gypsy families in Romania face in getting any kind of help to fund schools or hospitals for basic equipment and supplies.

Before entering into a fund raising exercise, Corina took a trip to Romania. Her goal was to report and advise as to where money would be best spent. The team decision was...Nappies !!! What could be more of a basic need for a child than a Nappy?

In the hospital that Corina visited, she saw children that had been abandoned by their parents because they were unable to support them. So the newly formed Romania team, with the assistance and support of the Gesar Foundation are now raising and sending money to provide this one hospital with ample nappies so they never again have this expense or most basic of needs to cover. This certainly brings great comfort to the children and certainly it is one item less for the hospital administration to worry about.

Raising money to buy nappies for one hospital is a most meaningful exercise but never satisfied, the Romanian team are out to inspire a friend to raise similar funds to assist yet another hospital in need. Further to this, another friend will be sought for the next hospital and so on until all desperate children in in Romania are served with equanimity.

 First fund raiser.

A wonderful night was had by all at The Maliha Indian Restaurantin Taunton, Somerset, England, who kindly donated 20% of the nights takings to the cause, so added to other donations our first £200 has been sent to Romania and managed by Corina's parents, dispelling the need to suffer administration cost.

We wish to thank the owners and management of the Maliha Restaurant Taunton for their kindness and foresight.

Fund raiser two.

On the 31st July 2010. Money was raised at a local boot sale, that will allow the team to continue buying nappies for nappies for a further four and a half months.

Fund raiser three

The Gesar Foundation and the Romania team..Wish to say thank you to the Jaden Cornelious Foundation for their intention to raise funds for the Romania Nappy fund as part of their organised firwalk for September 2010.

The picture below shows a reunion between Jacky and Kara Butt. Jacky has always been a great support to Kara and her efforts for the children of Dalfur. Kara in turn has always been a great source of inspiration. The photogragh was taken in April 2010, at a Gesar Foundation meeting of Humantarians at Tapeley Park Devon England...It is wonderful to know that all our Ambassadors woring in different parts of the world, will all have an office and accomodation at the Gesar Foundation Quality Of Life Sanctuary in Holsworthy Devon England...From there, they can plan, inspire and implement the ideas to benefit others...How wonderful !!!

Congratulations to all. How wonderful to know such good people...
